Local care, across the city
We care for families across Hamilton: downtown, the east end, Westdale, the Mountain, and the communities of Ancaster, Dundas and Stoney Creek.
Care is arranged by people who know the city, from the hospitals your family member may be coming home from to the time it takes to get up the Mountain in January.
Getting Care Is Simple
We've made it easy for families to go from first call to first visit, with no pressure and no guesswork.
- Step 1
Talk With Us
Call or book a free consultation. Tell us what's happening and what you're worried about. No cost and no obligation.
- Step 2
Build Your Care Plan
We recommend the right care, hours and schedule for your family member, and tell you exactly what it will cost.
- Step 3
Meet Your Caregiver
We match a caregiver to your family member's needs and personality, and introduce them before care begins.

The Beyond Care Difference
Why Families Choose Beyond Care
- Caregivers matched to the person. We match by needs, personality and schedule, not by whoever happens to be free.
- The same faces, wherever possible. A consistent caregiver or small team, so your family member isn't meeting strangers every week.
- Families kept in the loop. Updates after visits and a real person to call, so you know how things are going.
- Care that changes when needs do. Add hours, change services or scale back after recovery, without starting over.
- Local leadership. Care is planned and supervised by a team based here in Hamilton.
- Backup you can count on. If a caregiver is sick or away, we arrange a briefed replacement and tell you first.

Home Care in Hamilton: Your Questions
Is private home care in Hamilton covered by OHIP?
Private home care isn't covered by OHIP. Publicly funded home care is arranged through Ontario Health atHome, and eligibility and hours are limited. Many families use private care to add hours or start sooner.
Do you serve all of Hamilton?
We serve Hamilton, Ancaster, Dundas, Stoney Creek and Hamilton Mountain. If you're not sure your address is covered, call (226) 506-7013.
How quickly can care start?
Often within a few days of your consultation, and sometimes sooner. If you need help urgently, for example for a hospital discharge, call us at (226) 506-7013 and we'll tell you straight away what we can arrange.
How much does home care cost?
It depends on the type of care and how many hours you need. At your free consultation we'll recommend a care plan and tell you exactly what it will cost before anything starts, with no obligation. Some private insurance plans and Veterans Affairs Canada programs help with the cost of home care, so it's worth checking your coverage.
How are caregivers screened?
Before a caregiver is matched with a family, we interview them, check their references and training, and require a current police vulnerable sector check. We then match caregivers to each client by needs, personality and schedule.
